British Man Bradley Townsend Dies at 33 Fighting for Russia in Ukraine

Bradley Townsend, 33, was killed on 10 June in Ukraine's Donetsk region while fighting for Russia, in what is believed to be the first known death of a British citizen serving on Moscow's side.
An FPV drone attack reportedly killed the Barnsley man, who had left South Yorkshire in April after telling his family he was going to Romania.
A 4 April video on a Russian recruitment account showed Townsend with British pro-Russian fighters Ben Stimson and Aiden Minnis, saying he expected he might never be able to return to the UK.
The Foreign Office said it was in contact with his family but warned consular support is severely limited and that travelling to Ukraine to fight could lead to prosecution under UK law.
Townsend's death surfaced as Prime Minister Andy Burnham visited Kyiv and pledged continued pressure on Russia while expanding military support for Ukraine.
