Goodwill Launches $2,000 License Program for Young Adults in Ohio

$2,000 from the Wayne County Community Foundation is funding Goodwill's new “License to Thrive” program in Wooster, Ohio, which helps eligible young adults cover costs of getting a driver's license.
The initiative targets a key employment barrier: many young adults are ready for jobs or training but cannot reach worksites or classes without legal driving access.
Goodwill said the program extends its transportation-focused work with the Wayne County Department of Job and Family Services and other workforce partners, tying license support to broader goals of education, employment and independence.
Wooster-based Goodwill plans to begin enrolling participants now and use the program to move more young people toward long-term self-sufficiency.
