IonQ Integrates Trapped-Ion Systems Into Canada's FABrIC Sandbox Under New MOU

IonQ became a listed cloud quantum computing access provider for Canada's FABrIC Quantum Computing Sandbox under a newly signed memorandum of understanding with CMC Microsystems.
The deal plugs IonQ's commercial trapped-ion systems into the sandbox so Canadian academics and small and medium-sized enterprises can access quantum computing through the cloud.
CMC Microsystems operates the QCS through the FABrIC initiative, which is backed by funding from the Government of Canada's Strategic Response Fund.
The program is designed to build Canada's semiconductor and quantum sectors by pairing engineering support with commercial quantum access, aiming to turn research access into practical capability.
