A March 2025 FDA warning letter to the Minnesota grower cited serious Produce Safety Rule violations, including unsanitary food-contact surfaces, contamination risks from dripping pipes and black organic buildup on irrigation hoses.
Minnesota and Wisconsin have reported the most cases, underscoring the recurring food-safety risk from raw sprouts, which regulators routinely warn vulnerable groups to avoid.
