153.0 pounds became the new main-event limit at PFL Tampa after Ketlen Vieira weighed 152.2 and Cris Cyborg came in on target at 145.0.
Vieira’s miss makes her ineligible to win the women’s featherweight title, while Cyborg said she will vacate the belt if she loses and keep it with a 30th career win.
John Martin, MVP’s CEO, said Cyborg insisted on putting her championship status at risk despite not being required to do so in the altered bout.
The weigh-ins also finalized the co-main event, with Gadzhi Rabadanov at 156.0 and Tracy Reeder at 155.6, while Florim Zendeli’s bout with Omran Chaaban was scrapped after he failed to weigh in.
Saturday’s card at Benchmark International Arena in Tampa follows the newly announced MVP-PFL merger, with prelims on the ESPN App at 5:30 p.m. ET and the main card on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
