Peacock Sugar Recovers After 2-Day Pasadena Mail Carrier Altercation

Two days after the alleged attack, Sugar is eating, walking and showing signs of normal behavior, Pasadena Humane spokesperson Kevin McManus said.
X-rays found no broken bones, and Pasadena Humane said it is optimistic the white peacock will keep improving after treatment for injuries seen after Tuesday's incident.
Tuesday security video showed the bird following a mail carrier into a driveway before the carrier allegedly struck it with an object and again near the mail truck, leaving it struggling in the street.
Pasadena Humane animal control is still investigating, while McManus said Friday the bird's condition had improved enough that staff are confident it can be released back into the wild.
