Israel Warns Turkey Over Syria Air Base After August 18 Strike

Summary
Israel said its warning to Turkey followed an August 18 airstrike on Syria's Abu al-Duhar base, which it said was needed because Turkish troops were about to deploy there.
Turkey denied any military presence at the base and called the strike unacceptable and reckless, while pledging to keep supporting Syria's infrastructure and military development.
Syria's foreign minister said he had told Israel before the attack there were no plans for a Turkish base or troop deployment, adding the site was being restored for the Syrian Air Force.
The clash deepens already high Turkey-Israel tensions in Syria and Gaza, even as Syria says it remains open to de-escalation talks that respect its sovereignty.
