Summary
iOS 26.6.1 is now available for iPhone 11 models and later, plus second- and third-generation iPhone SE devices, delivering a security-only update Apple appears unwilling to leave until September.
Twenty-one of the 29 fixes target WebKit, with other patches covering an audio flaw that could leak sensitive information, three kernel issues tied to crashes or memory corruption, and an ImageIO bug that could enable code execution via a malicious image.
Apple has not said the flaws were exploited in the wild, but outside security watchers called the ImageIO issue a patch-now problem once technical details were published.
Older devices are getting a parallel release: iOS 18.7.10 for the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, addressing more than 120 issues on phones first launched in 2018.
The release fits Apple’s recent push to deliver security updates earlier in the cycle, even with iOS 27 expected around Sept. 14 and some users still likely to delay that first major upgrade.
