57% of CHROs surveyed by Gallup are providing AI training for people managers, responding to a confidence gap as half say they are not confident managers can guide employees’ AI use.
99% of the 102 CHROs said AI is somewhat or very important to business strategy, but Gallup said adoption alone does not reliably improve workplace culture.
31% of employees who strongly agree their manager supports AI said workplace culture improved over the past year, versus 21% among others; 33% also said AI transformed work, versus 4%.
62% of CHROs are also building centers of excellence or internal AI champions, while 78% encourage peer learning as companies try to spread AI capability beyond technology teams.
Gallup said manager backing is the clearest divider between positive and negative employee experiences of AI, suggesting support capacity may matter as much as the technology investment itself.
