Firebird Launches CIS Region's Largest AI Factory in Armenia, Targeting 70,000 GPUs by 2027

More than 70,000 NVIDIA Rubin and Blackwell GPUs and 300 megawatts of capacity are planned by end-2027, giving Armenian startups, universities, enterprises and public institutions domestic AI training and deployment capacity.
Built on NVIDIA’s DSX platform, the site is designed to run up to 40% more GPUs in the same footprint, with Schneider Electric supplying power systems and Vertiv providing chilled-water cooling and controls.
NVIDIA also said it intends to invest in Firebird after CoreWeave backed the company earlier this year, supporting an approximately 2-gigawatt roadmap across Armenia, Kazakhstan and other markets.
Delivered in just over six months, the project underscores how frontier markets in the CIS region are racing to attract global AI workloads while building local-language and national-priority AI capacity.
