US Private Employers Add 44,000 Jobs in July as Job-Changer Pay Jumps 7%

44,000 private-sector jobs were added in July, ADP said, while June's gain was revised down to 95,000 from 98,000.
7.0% pay growth for job-changers marked the fastest annual increase since August 2025, while job-stayers' pay gains held at 4.4%.
36,000 of the new jobs came from education and health services, helping offset declines in leisure and hospitality, trade, transportation and utilities, and natural resources.
37,000 jobs were added in the Northeast, while the Midwest lost 9,000, underscoring ADP's view that hiring patterns are shifting with broader macroeconomic conditions.
