Home Up v18.0.00.30 specifically fixes the Smart Switch problem that could prevent custom DIY Home Screen layouts from restoring correctly after moving data to a new Galaxy phone. Samsung also says it improved DIY arrangement mode, which should make icon and widget placement more consistent after transfer. That means One UI 9 users have strong reason to expect better results when migrating to a new Galaxy device, especially if they rely on heavily customized home screens. The update also fixes shortcut display errors in the integrated panel and adds broader stability improvements, suggesting Samsung is targeting reliability, not just adding cosmetic features. Older Galaxy devices, however, remain in limbo. Samsung has not confirmed whether v18.0.00.30 will be released for One UI 8.5 or earlier software versions.
