Samsung said its August 2026 security update for eligible Galaxy phones and tablets fixes 56 vulnerabilities and could begin rolling out worldwide soon.
Google contributed 38 CVE fixes in the patch—8 rated critical and 30 high priority—while Samsung added 18 device-specific SVE fixes, including 2 high-priority issues.
Nine Google-listed fixes are absent from Samsung's package because 1 was already covered in July and 8 do not affect Samsung devices.
Most fixes target Galaxy devices running Android 14, 15 or 16, covering Contacts, Dialer, Messages and Galaxy Themes, plus access control, clipboard, media codecs and cellular radio.
