4K/30fps recording on HONOR’s Robot Phone now includes ARRI LogC3, ARRI Wide Gamut 3, ARRI Looks and a dedicated cinema interface shown at a July 28 launch event in Hengdian.
The interface brings manual filmmaking controls to a phone, including shutter speed, Exposure Index settings such as EI 160 and EI 320, white balance, autofocus modes, Log/SDR switching and image monitoring tools.
Three focal lengths—23mm, 46mm and 92mm—were demonstrated alongside the phone’s articulated stabilized camera module, which is designed to combine mechanical movement, subject tracking and log capture in one device.
Key production details remain undisclosed, including bit depth, codec, bitrate, chroma subsampling, higher frame rates, metadata handling and whether LogC3 works across all cameras or supports standard ARRI grading workflows.
The demonstration gives the ARRI-HONOR partnership its first concrete technical shape, but positions the device as a smartphone adopting selected cinema workflow elements rather than an ALEXA-class camera.
