Mid-July deliveries began for thousands of Shrike FPV drones fitted with Auterion AI kits, giving Ukrainian operators a fire-and-forget mode against moving targets.
The system lets pilots manually fly into the battle area, designate a target up to half a mile away, then hand off terminal guidance while still retaining the option to abort or retarget.
Auterion said the drones can keep tracking and striking even after losing radio contact from terrain, buildings or Russian jamming, using only the onboard camera rather than GPS.
SkyFall and Auterion plan to ship 50,000 upgraded drones in coming months, expanding a $400 platform already used against Russian armor, artillery and electronic-warfare systems.
Shrikes have also reportedly downed two Russian Mi-28 helicopters worth up to $19 million each, underscoring how cheap drones are reshaping battlefield economics in Ukraine.
