Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra can now shoot full-resolution 200MP photos with HDR and multi-frame processing, making it the company’s first foldable to bring that image pipeline to its highest-resolution mode.
The upgrade targets a key weakness on earlier 200MP Samsung phones, where 200MP shots often showed blown highlights, crushed shadows and narrower color range than 12MP or 50MP images.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy likely enables the processing boost, which Samsung says preserves more detail in bright and dark areas and improves color reproduction.
The Fold 8 Ultra also upgrades its ultrawide camera to a 50MP 1/2.55-inch sensor with autofocus, adding macro shooting and 8K video at 30fps.
