Adam Schefter has said it is “more likely than not” that Bosa has played his last NFL down, and Cam Jordan is already off the market. That leaves Haason Reddick, Jadeveon Clowney, Kyle Van Noy and other older or less clean-fit options. If the Colts do not view those players as clear upgrades, the value of chasing an edge signing drops. At the same time, wide receiver is a more obvious roster opening. The WR3 job remains unsettled, and Indianapolis has enough cap flexibility to make a move. ESPN’s Matt Bowen specifically identified Samuel as the best fit for the Colts, citing his catch-and-run ability, versatility on screens and sweeps, and his fit alongside Alec Pierce, Josh Downs and Tyler Warren. The Colts’ 2026 receiver cap structure also leaves room for another veteran. Still, edge remains unfinished business. The Colts reshaped that room and are counting heavily on Laiatu Latu, with Arden Key, Micheal Clemons and Jaylahn Tuimoloau behind him. If camp shows that group can hold up, a pivot to Samuel becomes more realistic. If not, Indianapolis would more likely keep looking for pass-rush help even in a thinner market.
