Novig became the Mets’ exclusive prediction market partner in MLB’s first team sponsorship in the category, with ballpark, broadcast, digital and social activations set to begin soon.
CFTC approval last month and MLB authorization this week cleared Novig to use official league data and operate within baseball’s integrity framework, helping the Mets justify the new category.
The partners said the deal is aimed at fan education and future interactive gaming experiences, while giving Novig a brand-awareness boost against better-known rivals Kalshi and Polymarket.
Only three pro team prediction-market sponsorships are now known — the Mets deal following NHL agreements linking Polymarket with the Rangers and Kalshi with the Blackhawks.
Novig, a New York-based sports-only platform, has raised $99.4 million across seed, Series A and a $75 million Series B as prediction markets draw wider attention and regulatory scrutiny.
