First Liberty Bank has opened its first Galveston branch at 2724 61st St., marking the Texas-based lender’s entry into the Galveston County market.
23 years at Moody Bank preceded the move by Michael Lerner, who has now joined First Liberty Bank as it expands into a city with a strong community-banking presence.
The new office places First Liberty on Galveston Island, adding a fresh competitor in a local market already known for robust community banking.
