Summary
Season 4 was announced Friday at Comic-Con Hall H, with AMC rebranding the next chapter of Interview With the Vampire as Queen of the Damned.
Hannah Moscovitch will replace Rolin Jones as showrunner after serving as a writer on seasons 1 and 2 and an executive producer on season 3; Jones stays on as an executive producer.
Queen of the Damned follows the series' recent book-by-book naming approach after season 3 became The Vampire Lestat, and the new season will adapt Anne Rice's third Vampire Chronicles novel.
Akasha — the original vampire played by Sheila Atim — will be central to the story, extending a franchise AMC said was buoyed by strong fan response to the just-finished third season.
