Summary
Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay handed appointment orders to 2,144 candidates who cleared Medical Recruitment Board exams, including 38 who had received free coaching at Salem’s Employment and Career Guidance Centre.
Salem’s centre says 563 coached candidates secured government jobs over the past five years after 50 classes drew 3,523 students, with annual placements ranging from 39 to 218.
Those selections included 105 Group II qualifiers, 48 Health Inspectors, 34 Group IV recruits and one Group I candidate—A. Sathish Kumar—who now serves as District Employment Officer.
The centre currently runs two classes, including a Group I batch of 125 candidates, and supports rural applicants through exam registration help, monthly outreach, a 2,500-book library and online mock tests.
