Nearly all of North Texas is under another Extreme Heat Warning through 8 p.m. Wednesday, with heat index values forecast at 110 to 115 degrees.
High pressure is keeping the region hot and dry, and a weak front arriving from the northeast Wednesday is expected to do little to cut highs in the upper 90s to 105.
Thursday brings only slight relief, with temperatures still in the upper 90s to low 100s and a Heat Advisory remaining in place outside the warning area.
Triple-digit heat is expected to last into next week, while weakening Tropical Storm Bertha tracks farther south and is not expected to affect North Texas.
