Minnesota climbed to No. 1 in USA TODAY Sports' latest WNBA power rankings at 21-6, taking a two-game lead after beating Seattle on July 20.
Golden State fell from the top spot to No. 2 at 19-8 after Washington snapped its nine-game winning streak, while Las Vegas stayed No. 3 at 18-7.
For the league's 30th anniversary and the approaching All-Star break, the rankings also picked each franchise's all-time best player, led by Maya Moore for Minnesota, A'ja Wilson for Las Vegas and Tamika Catchings for Indiana.
The feature mixed current form with franchise history, highlighting stars from newer teams such as Veronica Burton for Golden State, Carla Leite for Portland and Marina Mabrey for Toronto.
