The financial pressure is clear. After the £117m Morgan Rogers deal and the £43m signing of Marco Palestra, Chelsea’s summer outlay has gone well beyond £150m. Although they have already raised more than £120m from recent sales, they still need substantial further income to satisfy Premier League and UEFA rules, especially with no European revenue boost in 2026-27. In practice, that means at least one or two headline departures are now likely, with Enzo the most significant potential sale.
