There is no firm confirmation yet that the Galaxy S24 will get Samsung’s new “Horizontal Lock” stabilization, but it also has not been ruled out. What is confirmed by recent leaks is that Samsung is preparing to bring the feature to the entire Galaxy S25 lineup through One UI 9.0 based on Android 17. Support was found in a One UI 9 test build for the Galaxy S25+, and that strongly suggests the standard S25 and S25 Ultra will follow. The feature debuted on the newer Galaxy S26 series and keeps video level even when the phone is tilted or rotated, delivering a gimbal-like effect through software. For the Galaxy S24, the picture is less clear. There is no leaked firmware or official changelog yet showing Horizontal Lock on the S24 series. Some reports suggest Samsung is considering expanding the feature to a wider range of devices, and the S24 is often seen as the oldest flagship line with a realistic chance because of its processing power and Samsung’s habit of backporting newer features. Still, that remains speculation until Samsung names supported models or the feature appears in an S24 test build. So the best answer is that the S24 is a plausible candidate, but unlike the S25, it is not confirmed. If Samsung does extend Horizontal Lock beyond the S25, the S24 series is likely near the front of the line.
