Not exactly. Lamborghini’s hybrid V8 can match — and in some areas exceed — the V10’s performance and drama, but it does not replicate the V10’s exact sound or character. On paper, the Temerario is a formidable successor to the Huracán. Its twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and three electric motors produce 907 hp, with tested acceleration as quick as 2.1 seconds to 60 mph and a 213 mph top speed. The hybrid system also improves throttle response and fills turbo lag, giving the car the immediacy buyers expect from a Lamborghini. The harder question is emotion. Lamborghini has clearly tried to preserve that by giving the V8 an unusually high 10,000-rpm redline and tuning it to build into a dramatic mechanical crescendo. Reviews suggest that at high revs the engine delivers a genuine wail and a strong sense of occasion. That matters, because the brand knows sound and theater remain central to its appeal. But the V10’s naturally aspirated voice was distinctive across the rev range, and that is where the Temerario appears different. Reports describe the new powertrain as less evocative at lower speeds, with a more mechanical, utilitarian tone in everyday driving. Some early enthusiast reactions suggest the exhaust note may be the car’s most contested feature. So the Temerario does not replace the V10 in a like-for-like emotional sense. Two Ad Personam Temerarios are the latest showcase for Lamborghini’s customization business, pairing bespoke exterior and cabin treatments with the brand’s new supercar.
One car uses Grigio Crater Matt and Grigio Artis gray, while the other combines Celeste Fedra blue, Bianco Phanes white and the matte Alleggerita package; both feature suit-inspired Gessato pinstripes.
Inside, the darker car adds stitched and embroidered tailoring cues with leather, exposed carbon fiber and wool yarns, while the blue version swaps wool accents for Corsa Tex by Dinamica suede-like trim.
The Temerario replaces the Huracan with a plug-in hybrid setup delivering 907 horsepower from a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 and three electric motors, plus 0-62 mph in 2.7 seconds and a 213-mph top speed.
