Google Ends Pixel 6 Android Updates at QPR1, Excluding Android 17 QPR2

Pixel 6 and 6 Pro users will stop at the Android 17 QPR1 beta series, with Google confirming they will not receive the QPR2 OTA due in December.
October 2026 now marks the effective end of life for both phones, leaving three remaining updates: the August security patch, September Pixel Drop/QPR1 and October security patch.
Google had originally promised 3 years of Android upgrades plus 2 years of security patches for the October 2021 devices, then extended support in 2024 to 5 full years of updates.
Pixel 6a remains on a longer track, with updates continuing until July 2027, while Android 17 QPR1 is expected on existing Pixels in early September.
