Summary
Three Russian shadow-fleet tankers in the Black Sea and four oil depots in Stavropol Krai were hit overnight, Zelensky said, in one of Ukraine’s latest long-range strikes on Russia’s oil trade.
Hours earlier, Russia had launched one of its heaviest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv, and Zelensky cast the operation as a direct response to Russian strikes.
Ukraine’s military said drones also hit a floating crane in the Azov Sea, a Buk air-defense system in occupied Zaporizhzhia, and a road bridge east of occupied Pokrovsk used by Russian troops.
The SBU said its naval drone struck the tanker Avero, which it said carried Russian crude to China and India despite G7 and EU embargoes; Russia said it downed 140 Ukrainian drones overnight.
The attacks fit a broader July campaign in which Ukraine has targeted dozens of shadow-fleet vessels, oil sites and power infrastructure to strain logistics in occupied Crimea and deeper inside Russia.
