Boeing said the 737 Max 7 is 95% through certification deliverables, with FAA flight testing already complete, putting the long-delayed jet closest of its pending programs to type approval.
686 FAA flight-test hours across 441 flights and 349 ground-test hours back that push, while Boeing says the engine anti-ice fix that stalled the Max 7 and Max 10 is also in its final certification stage.
The fix combines inlet turbulators, a revised CFM hardwall forward fan case, added insulation and cockpit-system changes, cutting a critical temperature point by 200°F, according to Boeing.
On the Max 10, Boeing said flight testing was 98% complete as of July 6, and the model will debut an enhanced angle-of-attack system designed to simplify cockpit alerts after the MCAS-linked crashes that killed 346 people.
Farther out, Boeing said the 777-9 is only about halfway through certification testing—4,800 flight-test hours over 1,700 flights—with first deliveries still targeted for 2027.
