Android Authority found a new "Proof of Age" section in Google Wallet code, pointing to a feature that could verify users' age online without exposing personal information.
Version 26.27.941270914 offers few details beyond that privacy-focused goal, suggesting Google is still building a streamlined alternative to current age-gating methods.
The same code also shows Google testing a monthly notification screen for items imported from Gmail, aimed at making automatically added tickets, passes and similar entries easier to track.
The additions would extend Wallet beyond payments and stored IDs into broader digital identity and document management, though Google has not disclosed a launch timeline.
