Summary
Tondra Miller, 58, of Sacramento County was identified as the second person killed after a Stockton boat carrying 20 people capsized near Alcatraz Island earlier this week.
San Francisco police were conducting sonar scans after 1 p.m. Thursday when a passing vessel spotted a body near Treasure Island; responders recovered the body and the medical examiner later confirmed Miller's identity.
The sinking left two dead, three still missing and 16 rescued; a dog aboard also died. The roughly 50-foot Volare cabin cruiser is believed to be about 130 feet down in the bay.
Clifford Joseph Boisa, 79, a retired Sutter County reserve deputy, was identified Wednesday as the first confirmed death. All aboard had been attending a memorial service, and Coast Guard survivor searches were suspended Wednesday night.
