Q: Will this retro collection of Japan-only classics finally get an official English translation?

No official English translation has been announced for the Super Yanoman Collection. Everything disclosed so far points to a Japan-focused release. Edia has only announced the collection for Japan, priced it in yen, and described platform availability and collector’s bonuses without mentioning English text, Western publishing plans, or localization support. The official materials cited so far also do not indicate multilingual options. That means players should currently expect Song Master, Trinea, and Feda: The Emblem of Justice to appear in Japanese, as they originally did on Super Famicom. The same likely applies to the bonus title Penta Dragon. While modern PlayStation and Switch imports are generally accessible outside Japan, accessibility is not the same as localization. There is some broader evidence that retro Japan-only games can receive official English treatment in 2026. Retro-Bit’s reissue of Psycho Dream, for example, includes a new English localization. But that is a separate project and publisher, and it does not signal that Edia is doing the same here. So, for now, the answer is no: there is no confirmed official English translation for this collection. If that changes, it would likely require a separate announcement from Edia covering language support or an overseas release.
