Summary
Dozens of Xiaomi phones and tablets have been moved to End of Life status, cutting off future Android upgrades, HyperOS releases and security patches.
The newly unsupported lineup includes the Xiaomi 12, 12 Pro and 12X, Poco X5 and X5 Pro, some Redmi 10 and Redmi Note 11 variants, and the Xiaomi Pad 5.
Those devices will keep working, but newly discovered bugs and security flaws will no longer be fixed officially, increasing cyberattack risk over time.
Xiaomi typically supports devices for 2 to 4 years and said the shift helps redirect resources to newer flagships and continued HyperOS development.
