Sept. 4, 2026 is the new launch date for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, moving Capcom's release 21 days earlier than the previously announced Sept. 25 debut.
Switch 2 digital pre-orders were automatically cancelled because of the date change, and affected buyers must place a new pre-order on Nintendo's system.
All platforms are affected by the earlier launch, while the shift also turns pre-order bonuses into early-adopter bonuses available until the original Sept. 25 date.
The move helps Capcom avoid a crowded late-September window that includes Silent Hill Townfall and Control: Resonant, both set for Sept. 24.
