Sunday night storms left major damage across Indiana’s Tri-State area, with confirmed tornadoes reported in Chandler and damage concentrated in Warrick and Gibson counties.
Chandler residents reported a tornado tossed a carport from behind a building to the front, while Newburgh’s Bell Point Apartments and Apple Center also showed debris and structural damage.
Owensville was hit hard: Blythe Chapel was destroyed, and additional damage was reported in Owensville and nearby Mackey.
Newburgh officials were also called to a structure collapse at a retirement community, adding to a broader severe-weather outbreak that had already killed at least two people elsewhere in the Midwest.
