Summary
AWS used its New York Summit keynote to roll out a broad slate of AI agent products, spanning Bedrock AgentCore, security, developer tools, workplace assistants and data services.
Bedrock got the biggest push: AgentCore added managed web search and paid-knowledge connections, while a new Managed Knowledge Base aims to speed enterprise RAG with native connectors, Smart Parsing and an Agentic Retriever.
AWS also introduced ways to operationalize and govern agents, including general availability for AgentCore harness, a coming AWS Context knowledge-graph service, and WAF controls that let publishers price, meter and collect payment from AI bots.
Security and software teams got separate launches: AWS Continuum entered gated preview for vulnerability triage and remediation, Kiro gained an iOS app preview, DevOps Agent added release-readiness reviews, and AWS Transform began previewing continuous modernization.
The announcements show AWS widening its AI pitch beyond model hosting toward full agent infrastructure—covering data access, governance, security, workplace automation and even monetization of bot traffic.
