Analysis of the 2025 event found many advertised discounts were not true lows, and nearly half of tracked products actually rose in price before or during the sale. Retailers also tend to save their sharpest “hero” discounts for the main event. The practical takeaway is simple: buy now only if the item is at or near a verified record low. Otherwise, better value is likely still ahead.
